Well it certainly took long enough to get back on track.
A paint "crew" had come out and had begun priming the walls before paint, I believe I said something about this when it actually happened almost three weeks ago now. A group of non-professionals had begun priming the house before the drywall had been completed and were doing a right cob-job to boot.
Well after some discussions with our General Contractor it was decided that perhaps a different paint crew would be appropriate and that perhaps they might not want to begin work until AFTER the drywall work had been completed.
We had some lovely back-and-forthing with Zac to coordinate the drywall. We needed to point out that to him that there was no way we were going to accept the work that had been done and that it needed to be redone. He finally saw things our way and had a different drywall team come out and surface the walls correctly.
He then had a different paint crew come out and prime the house. So far it looks great, we are looking forward to the application of colour tomorrow. Once the walls are painted they can begin setting the tile and once the tile is down we can finally install all of those lovely cabinets that are collecting dust in their boxes.
More later.
